100 from Decorating Den Interiors to visit High Point Market

Easton, Md.— “We may be the largest buyer group from a single company attending market,” says David Haseley, vice president of merchandising for North America’s largest home furnishings and interior design franchise company, Decorating Den Interiors. They will have 100 franchise owners, interior decorators and staff touring October’s High Point Market. They will come from 26 states and Ontario, Canada. Two will travel from as far away as California and New Mexico.

“Furniture has grown to become our second largest product category in retail sales,” says Haseley. “Our design presentations are made in the customer’s home or office, so it is very educational for our design professionals to personally visit the showrooms of our preferred suppliers. Upon returning from the market the merchandising team will put together a ‘Highlights of the Market’ presentation to share with those that were not able to make it to High Point and to use as marketing seminars in their home areas.”

Because the group is so large, they will be visiting many showrooms in four groups. Special evening events have been scheduled for the Braxton Color and Natuzzi showrooms.

Established in 1969, Decorating Den Interiors has franchises throughout the U.S. and Canada. While many of its franchise owners come with previous design experience or from other positions in the home furnishings industry, some also come from other careers. The company provides extensive training in design, marketing, and business management, and is a leader in the use of technology to maximize profitability.

The company’s nearly 100 preferred suppliers enable its design professionals to offer clients a single source for window treatments, upholstered furniture, case goods, wall and floor coverings, accessories, lighting, and closet/storage systems.
