Between tools, cars and boxes of old stuff, it’s easy for the garage to start to get a little crowded. However, with a few simple changes, you can transform your garage into a functional, organized space.

First, you need to have plenty of storage options. When you have an organizational system in place, your belongings won’t pile up so quickly. Divide all of your items into groups, and if you use it together, keep it together.

Don’t be afraid to go vertical. Using shelves and hooks can keep the floor clean and easy to navigate. For example, instead of stuffing your bike into the corner, hang it up so it’s out of the way but ready to use when you need it.
