Two of our Decorating Den Interiors franchisees won international window fashion design awards and were featured in WF-Visions Magazine.

Sandy Kozar and Rachael Sheridan, of Knoxville, Tenn., won second place in Decorative Hardware and Trim. Their makeover of this formal dining room featured walls, ceiling and moldings embellished with faux finishes. For such a grand space, the window treatments had to command attention. The client wanted arched drapery rods, but, due to limited space, this wasn’t possible. Sandy and Rachael used a creative approach with medallions to form an arch-like look for hanging the draperies. A domed diamante button was attached to each medallion, the hand-painted in gold and silver.

Barbara McGinnis-Hayman, of Orlando, won second place in Whole Room Integration. Her seascape bedroom, created from scratch, used a soft buttery paint to set the foundation for the entire design. A playful rug adorned with starfish and seashells added colors to the wood floors. The twin-over-twain bunk beds in creamy white, set with a nautical hint of rope, were dressed with coral bedding and coastal-inspired pillows shade crafted in polka dot fabric filters light and adds privacy.
