Decorating Den Interiors presents best of year’s designs on showcase website

Easton, Md. —- Decorating Den Interiors, North America’s largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company, is showcasing award-winning room makeovers from this year’s 36th  International Dream Room Contest at https://decoratingden.com/dream-room-showcase/ .   The design showcase features the top three makeovers in each of 12 categories as judged by an esteemed panel of international interior design journalists. There were 326 rooms entered in the competition.

Designs showcased are from 17 different designers from throughout the U.S.

The website also introduces visitors to the winners of Decorating Den Interiors’ top three design awards:

  • Decorating Den’s top design honor–Designer of the Year–went to Diana Apgar, Cincinnati, whose outdoor space won first place in that category and won best overall. She also won awards in five other categories.
  • The Donayre Award, named after the Decorating Den Interiors Vice President for Design Carol Donayre Bugg and voted on by other franchise owners, went to Heather Sheridan, Castle Rock, Colo., for a community center in the commercial category.
  • The Peoples Choice Award, selected from more than thousands of online votes cast throughout North America, went to Barbara McGinnis Hayman, Spring City, Pa., a living room makeover that also won first place in that room category

The showcase categories are: Living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, bathrooms, home offices, window treatments, outdoor spaces, commercial spaces, and miscellaneous.

“The rooms feature furnishings from our LIVV Home Collection™ of fine furniture, custom window treatments, wall and floor coverings, accessories and lighting,” said David Haseley, senior vice president, merchandising and marketing. “The extensive choices available enable us to work within a wide range of budgets and lifestyles.”

Founded in 1969, Decorating Den Interiors design professionals meet with clients in their home or office for initial design consultations, subsequent design presentations and product selections, and they personally see projects through to completion.
