High Point Designers

Easton, Md. — Decorating Den Interiors, North America’s only full-service interior design and home furnishings franchise company, is bringing some 150 design professionals to October’s High Point Home Furnishings Market.

“This is a record number for us to bring to Market,” says David Haseley, sr. vice president of merchandising. “Our designers are excited to gather in-person for the first time since our 2019 visit to High Point. We’ve missed our annual international conference two years in a row.”

We have been bringing our design professionals to High Point showrooms and factory tours for more than 20 years,” Haseley says “In recent years, we have brought our largest groups and have had our most ambitious schedules of showroom visits. We think we are the largest designer buying group that visits Market.”

“In the past we have kept our group to no more than 100,” he explains. “With this huge number, we have a bigger challenge to organize and schedule visits to showroom. We will be organizing into several smaller groups for visiting showrooms of suppliers that participate in our LIVV Home Collection™.  Due to the number of suppliers that now participate in our program, it is not possible to see them all, so we rotate from Market to Market. Our designers appreciate the personal extra attention they get and the product knowledge they gain. They also enjoy the camaraderie of being together with their peers, which we have greatly missed because of Covid.”

The group will meet all together on Monday evening at the Sheraton Greensboro to celebrate the significant sales achievements of franchisees. “Despite the challenges created by the pandemic, our franchisees have achieved aggregate sales at record levels over the last 15 months,” said James S. Bugg, Jr. CEO and president. “We also have been adding more new franchises than we have in recent years. We have much to celebrate.”

The Decorating Den Interiors group consists of designers from 28 states: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Upon returning from the market the merchandising team will put together a ‘Highlights of the Market’ presentation to share with those that were not able to make it to High Point and to use as marketing seminars in their home areas.

Decorating Den Interiors has franchises throughout the U.S. and Canada. While many of its franchise owners come with previous design experience or from other positions in the home furnishings industry, some also come from other careers. The company provides extensive training in design, marketing, and business management, and is a leader in the use of technology to maximize profitability.

The company’s more than 135 preferred suppliers in its LIVV Home Collection™ enable its design professionals to offer clients a single source for fine furniture, case goods, lighting, accessories, window treatments, wall and floor coverings, and closet/storage systems.
