Interior Design Businesses Honored for Longevity Milestones

Easton, Md. — Decorating Den Interiors recently honored franchises for having their interior design and home furnishings businesses for 20, 25, 30, 35 and 45-plus years.
“When the average life-span of a small business is about nine years, we take time each year to honor our interior design franchise owners who have marked 20- and 30-year anniversaries. This year, because small businesses are particularly challenged, we chose to recognize more anniversaries,” explains James S. Bugg, Jr., CEO and president. “We saluted the achievements during a special international video conference that replaced our annual international conference, which was not held because of the Covid19 Sheltering-in-Place.”
“This group of owners weathered the storm of the 2008 recession and have adapted to safe virtual design presentations to continue to do business during our current challenge,” Bugg added.

Singled out for the various anniversaries were:
20 Years:
Rose Burcheri, California.
Delores Baker, Pennsylvania.
Sherry Franzoy Garcia, New Mexico.
Shelley Rodner, Delaware.
Paula Tranfaglia, Maryland.
25 Years:
                Lile Cecile, Texas.
Angela Rowe, Illinois.
Cathy Salyers, Texas.
Cheryl Smith, New Jersey.
30 Years:
                Tonie Vander Hulst, Florida.
Katrina Coxe, New Jersey.
35 Years:
                Robin Cotter, Massachusetts.
45-Plus:
                Lois Pade, Wisconsin.
Anne Fawcett, Massachusetts

In addition, numerous DDI business owners were recognized for five-, 10- and 15-year anniversaries.
Decorating Den Interiors was founded in 1969 as a drapery business. Today, its franchise partners operate full-service interior design and home furnishing businesses, many with teams of designers and support staff.
