Interior designers elected to international business advisory council

Easton, Md. — Interior designers from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Idaho, and Canada were recently elected to the Leadership Council of Decorating Den Interiors from among some 250 interior design business owners throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Elected to new three-year terms were: Marva Don Card, Boise, Idaho and Michelle Leduc, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Elected to a one-year term to fill a vacancy was Julie Cochran, Dayton, Ohio;

Re-elected to a second three-year term was Kathy McGroarty, Lansdale, Pa.

Officers of the Leadership Council, elected during the first meeting with the new members, are:

McGroarty, chair and Claudia Leah, Naples, Fla., vice chair.

Other members of DDI’s Leadership Council are: : Suzanne Christie, Clearwater, Fla.; Cassy Young, Athens, Ga.; Kristen Pawlak, Louisville, Ky.; and Suzan Wemlinger, Milwaukee, Wisc.

The Leadership Council reviews policies and programs for the company’s interior design business franchise partners and advises on strategies and investments related to the franchisees’ National Brand Fund for branding, advertising, marketing and public relations programs. The council also provides consultation on technology, continuing education, the LIVV Home Collection™ of furnishings suppliers, and other interior design business management resources.

Decorating Den Interiors, founded in 1969, is North America’s largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company. Its designers provide in-home or in-office design consultations and home fashions selections. During the Covid19 sheltering in place, its designers have been offering the alternative of virtual design consultations with various video conferencing resources. As states phase-in openings, in-home consultations will be available as homeowners prefer.
