More than 100 from Decorating Den Interiors to visit High Point Market. 22 States and two Provinces represented

Easton, Md. — Decorating Den Interiors, North America’s largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company, will bring more than 100 design professionals to this fall’s High Point Home Furnishings Market. Franchise owners are traveling from 22 states and the Canadian Provinces of Ontario and Newfoundland.

“This is a massive organizational task for us,” says David Haseley, vice president of merchandising.  “We will have four groups scheduled so that they each visit the same 29 showroom at different times during Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of our owners also will visit showrooms on their own Saturday or Sunday. We are extremely grateful to our preferred supplier network for the extra planning required to accommodate our groups.”

Special evening events have been scheduled for the Braxton Culler, Universal and Bernhardt showrooms (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday respectively).

“As a full-service design and home furnishings company, we represent suppliers in practically every category,” says Haseley. “Even though I attend both the fall and spring market for the full number of days and visit our suppliers and prospective new ones, our individual design pros still like to come to market periodically in a way that they also experience the camaraderie of being part of our group.”

Upon returning from the market the merchandising team will put together a ‘Highlights of the Market’ presentation to share with those that were not able to make it to High Point and to use as marketing seminars in their home areas.

Leadership Council also to meet
The company’s Leadership Council, 12 franchise owners elected by the franchise partners, will meet during Wednesday and Thursday. The group advises senior executives on policies and procedures, national and local branding, product promotions, and other aspects of franchise support.

While many of its franchise owners come with previous design experience or from other positions in the home furnishings industry, some also come from other careers.
