New Blog for Starting an Interior Decorating and Residential Design Business

A new blog ( http://www.interiordecoratingfranchise.com/blog/) for individuals looking to explore having their own interior decorating business or expanding a current one has been introduced by Decorating Den Interiors. Its content is targeted both to those with experience in design and home furnishings, and those with the right talent and desire but who may be looking for a career change.
“Our newest design professionals continue to come to us from a variety of backgrounds,” says Jim Bugg, Jr., president and chief executive officer. “Some have interior design degrees and have worked for others, some have their own business and want to grow it, and others are individuals with natural talent and desire who are looking to change careers to something they can really enjoy.”
“We created the blog so that others like this can easily have some resources to help them think through whether they are a fit for something independent, flexible and with low overhead,” he added.
The initial articles on the blog include:
·         How to Start and Interior Decorating Business
·         The Benefits of Buying Wholesale vs. Charging Hourly Fees
·         The Flexibility of a Home-Based Interior Design Business
·         Never Too Late for Change
·         Homeowners Use of Interior Designers Increasing
There also is a four-part video series on:
·         Training
·         Products and Buying Power
·         Client Development
·         Business and Support Management
“Our most recent new franchise partners include current design business owners, an owner of a lake house décor store who is expanding into full-service interior decorating and home furnishings, several changing from other careers and two home improvement/remodeling businesses which will expand,” says Bugg. “Several have previous or current franchise experience so they value and understand the power of franchising.”
Decorating Den Interiors is North America’s leading in-home decorating service and largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company. Its design professionals have direct relationships with nearly 100 suppliers of furniture, case goods, accessories, lighting, floor and wall coverings, draperies and other hard and soft window treatments. They take samples directly to the client’s home or office, provide complimentary design services, and personally see projects through to completion. “Our extensive choices enable our design pros to work within a wide range of budgets and lifestyles,” Bugg says.
